Hi! I’m Victoria. I live in Brooklyn, New York with my husband, two tween girls, and a dog.

I decided to turn my passion for organizing into my own small business because I think we’re all too frazzled. We’re hemmed in by our calendars, workloads, to-do lists, social media feeds, and by our possessions. And when we get control of the stuff in our lives, we feel more in control of our lives generally.

The problem is clearing clutter and organizing is HARD. It requires time and energy, and negative feelings (uncertainty, overwhelm, guilt, decision fatigue) can creep in and prevent us from crossing the finishing line or even getting started. This is where I come in. I help people get caught up, so they have more space and time for what matters. It’s a fun job, and I enjoy it.

Want to know more about me?

  • I grew up in Cape Elizabeth, Maine.

  • My husband and I were in the same third grade class.

  • I originally wanted to be a teacher, and I consider the kindergarten classroom to be the perfect model of organization.

  • I’m addicted to true crime, reality TV, and crossword puzzles. Also, regular puzzles.

  • I’m an Upholder in Gretchen Rubin’s Four Tendencies personality framework. Unfamiliar? Click here to learn more and take her quiz to find out if you’re an Upholder, Questioner, Obliger or Rebel.

  • I hate cooking. I would rather do just about anything than collect ingredients and sauté onions.

  • Exercise is my therapy. I like to run (super slowly) and ride bikes that go nowhere.

  • Other likes: Taylor Swift, office supplies, public transportation, good design, and dessert.

  • Other dislikes: junk mail, gadgets that only do one specific thing, foam packing peanuts, feeling too hot or too cold, and bugs and with lots of legs.

About Mise en Place

Mise en place is a French phrase for “everything in its place” and usually refers to the preparation a chef does before cooking. Applied to tidying, mise en place is figuring out what you need, use, and love and setting those things up to serve you better.

There is so much less friction in day-to-day life when every item you own has an exact spot where it lives. It’s also very satisfying to put something back where it belongs, like the feeling of hitting a mark.

About KonMari

The KonMari Method® was developed by Marie Kondo, best-selling author of The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up. Her method encourages tidying by category, rather than by location. There are five categories: clothing, books, paper, miscellaneous items, and sentimental items. The goal is to surround yourself with things that “spark joy” and let go of the rest with gratitude and without guilt.
